I was joined near our local Fred Meyer while working this morning by an uninvited companion who seems to have lost
his parents. I've posted his info at our local Home At Last Humane Society. John Doe Puggle is extremely friendly, well behaved around cats, and seems to be house trained. My wife has fallen in love with him, so if an owner doesn't come forward, I guess I've inherited another child to watch over.
What shows are you looking forward to in the new fall TV season?
If you had asked me a couple of months ago I would have said HEROES, but now that NBC is acting like an ass with iTunes and joined the practically unusable Amazon Unbox service. I don't have time to watch at the scheduled television broadcast time and I don't want to purchase and manage a DVR, so I may be screwed.
I could say LOST, but it technically doesn't begin airing until winter during February of 2008.
We are also enjoying DAMAGES on FX, although it is only Season 1, and only 6 episodes in at that!
I'm not really interested in much else. I enjoy really smart shows and often those kinds of shows don't make the fall lineup on the traditional broadcast networks.
I am unable to rely upon HBO for quenching my series needs since The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Sex and the City, Rome and Curb Your Enthusiasm have ended and Carnivale was canceled. I can only hope (knock on wood) that they get some pre-production momentum behind the George R. R. Martin's Fire and Ice series. Until that happens, there will likely be nothing on HBO that suits me. I am tempted to try out Dexter on the Showtime network. In fact, I think I'll download the pilot, to see if it is as smart and crisply written as I have heard. I know it is based on series of novels of the same name which simultaneously thrills me and fills me with dread.
