U2 creates first Live Action 3D film.

The 3D live action film of U2 that was recorded during their 2006 South American tour will be distributed by National Geographic Cinema Ventures and was directed by Catherine Owens (who has been Visual Content Director for U2 for 15 years) and Mark Pellington.

The film will premiere in theaters of select cities on January 25, 2008.

Unfortunately I doubt that I will be near any of the major cities where the film will debut. I would enjoy hearing what other people think after viewing the film. Has 3D really improved that much? Will it still suck for far-sighted blind bats like myself?
